The Women in Tech Start-up Pitch Contest

U.S. Embassy Reykjavik and KLAK present: The Women in Tech Start-up Pitch Contest.

The U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik and KLAK are proud to present the Women in Tech start-up pitch contest, which will be hosted at Gróska's event hall (Hátíðarsalur), on October 23, between 15:00 and 17:00.

The winner of this year’s pitch contest will receive a complimentary ticket to 2025’s SelectUSA Investment Summit, which will be held in Maryland, May 11-14, 2025. The winner will also be eligible for pre and post SelectUSA Investment Summit mentorship.

The schedule is as follows:

· 15:00 House opens

· 15:10 Opening remarks from U.S. Ambassador Carrin F. Patman

· 15:20 Kerecis’s experience at the SelectUSA Investment Summit – Speaker Guðmundur Óskarsson

· 15:30 Competition officially begins

· 16:40 Winner announced

· 17:00 Event ends

The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest profile event in the United States to facilitate business investment by connecting thousands of investors, companies, economic development organizations (EDOs), and industry experts to make deals happen. SelectUSA has facilitated over $200 billion in client-verified investment, supporting more than 200,000 jobs across the United States and its territories.

Hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Investment Summit is a one-stop shop for companies considering expanding to the United States and provides EDOs with the opportunity to meet directly with international companies to facilitate investment deals.
